Food was excellent, as well as the service.

This is an old time diner and Pittsburgh institution near Shadyside Hospital. It is relaxing place to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Nothing fancy but simply good food. We go there mostly for breakfast. Many of the waitresses have worked there for 20+ years. The food prices are reasonable as compared to most other places . If you are in the neighborhood and want to grab a good meal at a reasonable price Ritter’s is much better than all the fast food near by.

My dad enjoyed the fried chicken dinner, and wedding soup- atmosphere brought him back to his childhood. Service was great and diner was very clean. He got takeout for me- wedding soup and salad. Excellent. We will be back!

I love this diner! We had a burger and chocolate chip hotcakes—everything was delicious. Great service and an authentic atmosphere.

This is a classic "diner" that is hard to find. Long term staff know the regulars. Comfortable and friendly, it is hard to beat.
